By decision of the 1991 General Assembly, 1 January was set as the date for a renewal of all dues, with new members who join after 1 July in any year paying the regular annual fee but being covered for the rest of that year as well as the whole of the following year. At the 1993 General Assembly an amendment to the Constitution was adopted which provides that annual membership dues shall be paid during the first three months of the calendar year, and that if the dues have not been paid by 30 November of the year in question, the member shall be deemed to have resigned from CAFICS with effect from that date. At the 2007 General Assembly an Amendment to the Constitution was adopted which provides for Life membership. Dues for life membership have been established at 15 times the current annual dues.
